5K@EASD: A Global Virtual Challenge for Diabetes Awareness

The 5K@EASD Virtual Challenge is an annual event that brings together people from all over the world to raise awareness about the importance of physical activity in preventing and controlling diabetes. Last year, over 6,000 participants from 130 countries joined this global movement for change. This year, the challenge aims to emphasize the need for increased physical activity to help prevent diabetes and its complications.

Organized by MYLAPS Experience Lab, the 5K@EASD Virtual Challenge is a free program that allows individuals to participate in a virtual 5K run or walk. Participants can join from anywhere in the world and are encouraged to take the WDF Pledge, a commitment to support the World Diabetes Foundation's Somaliland ProjectNovo Nordisk, the main sponsor of the challenge, will donate on behalf of the first 10,000 registrants and finishers.

Please note that runner shirts for the 5K@EASD Virtual Challenge will only be available for purchase on-site in Stockholm, Sweden at the 58th Annual EASD Congress. We encourage everyone to support the World Diabetes Foundation by taking the WDF Pledge and participating in this global initiative to raise awareness about diabetes prevention and control.
